You will spend your afternoon exploring the local livelihood in the countryside with our local guide. Visit the families who make traditional products such as rice paper, dried banana, bamboo sticky rice, rice wine and fish paste. Taste our local food and learn about local culture and history. Half day tour is around 16 km.The half day tour is around 16 km.

Tour Itinerary
Stop 1: Rice paper.
Rice paper is a traditional Khmer craft that is used to make spring rolls. You will learn how locals make rice paper and taste local spring rolls.
Stop 2: Dried banana.
Dried banana is a local product made of sliced bananas which are laid out to dry on a long bamboo frame. You will learn how local produce dried banana and taste this traditional product.
Stop 3: Rice wine.
Rice wine is well-known as happy water in Cambodia. It is an alcoholic beverage fermented and distilled from rice. We will show you how locals make it and how it used in our culture.
Stop 4: Fish paste market.
Fish paste is the soul of traditional Khmer cuisine. Cambodians use it to cook traditional meals and many varities of food. You will learn how it is used and the process of production.
Stop 5: Bamboo sticky rice.
Bamboo sticky rice is a traditional Cambodian snack. The rice is stuffed inside a bamboo stick with different ingredients, and cooked for a long period of time. It is a very popular food in Battambang.
